Ideas for No-Carve Pumpkins That Are Still Stylish (Are Totally Doable)

Dollar Store Halloween Decorating Ideas

When it comes to Halloween decorations, I’m a firm believer in keeping costs as cheap as possible. Our trick-or-treat décor is a combination of old objects and dollar store Halloween decor. It’s all about the low-cost scares these days! As an example of how I’ve utilized these low-cost Halloween decorations in the past, I’ll offer some of my favorite frightening items to buy from the dollar shop, as well as links to other bloggers who have excellent budget Halloween style to inspire you. This post includes affiliate links for your convenience in making purchases.

This website is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program established to provide a method for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and referring to Amazon.com.

My entire disclosure policy may be found here. One of the best places to get Halloween decorations, as well as party and craft items, is at Dollar Tree in particular. Some of my favorite goods to purchase from them are as follows:

  • Foam gravestones, tealight lanterns, rats, bats, skulls, creepy cloth, holographic portraits that can be transformed into creepy DIY art, zombie masks, gory plastic hands and feet, animal skeletons, oversized spiders, rubber bugs and creepy crawlies, lights, spider webbing, crime scene tape, bony hands, Halloween ice cube molds, skull goblets, plastic eyeballs (you could make a great eyeball wreath out of No.

For the simple reason that everything is just a buck, I prefer to purchase these products in quantity and utilize them to create creepy scenes. The more there are, the frightening it is! Subscribe to Atta Girl Says’s YouTube channel! Receive our delectable recipes, the most recent blogs, and unique material sent directly to your email every week. These plastic skulls serve as an excellent illustration. Last year, I purchased as many as I could find to fill the rustic wooden lantern on our porch, which was made of wood.

I have a tendency to repeat the same Halloween decorations year after year, albeit in somewhat varied configurations.

Cheap Scares for Halloween

I’ve put together a few of my favorite Halloween decorating ideas using various low-cost materials to share with you.

Plastic Skulls

Plastic skulls are available in a variety of shapes and sizes. They look fantastic grouped together in lanterns, vases, and baskets. The lantern is the same, but the skulls are different. Is there anything more terrifying than a skull hidden behind glass? Aside from that, I enjoy putting them on top of pumpkins with other creepy crawlies or other critters around them. Create a horrifying topiary by stacking two or more foam skulls together and securing them with wooden skewers, or by gluing plastic skulls together.

Candle holders, skulls, glass globes, and other Dollar Tree items are used to create these decorations.

Creepy Cloth

My favorite item to buy at the dollar shop is creepy cloth, which is one of my favorite Halloween decorations. Typically, they have it available in black, white, and natural hues, and they are far less expensive than you can purchase it online or in other retailers. Every year, I use yards and yards of the material, hanging it over furniture, lamps, chandeliers, and windows to decorate. It also makes a fantastically eerie tablecloth for Halloween parties.

At the dollar shop, you may discover skeletons of all shapes and sizes, including hands, feet, small entire skeletons, and animal skeletons, among other things. They may be placed anyplace you wish to create a spooky atmosphere. This rodent suffered an untimely demise, to say the least. It’s possible that the cat had anything to do with this. Using fishing line, suspend skeletons of birds and bats. In order to create this horrific Halloween wreath, I utilized an array of tiny skeletons.

When you buy imitation spider webbing from the dollar shop, you get a lot of bang for your money, just like you would with scary fabric.

Decorate windows and doors with the material, both indoors and outside, to provide as a backdrop for wreaths and clinging animals. Giant spiders provide a spooky element to any setting in which they are placed.

Birds, Rats, BatsCreepy Crawlies

Buying a bag of rubber rats, bugs, or scorpions will cost you one dollar. Nevertheless, the scares are worth far more than that. They appear to be crawling out of the eye openings of a skull or sitting atop a mound of pumpkins because they are so spooky. They’re even more terrifying when they’re in the company of bats, birds, and other animals of the night. If a single bird might be frightening, a swarm of crows can be downright terrifying. The sight of a swarm of bats congregated at the front door is hardly the type of welcome most guests would expect.

More is always preferable in this case.

Other Dollar Store Halloween items

In order to create these frightening Halloween plaques, I utilized quick-setting resin as well as skeleton ice trays. You can also use them to build eerie resin swizzle sticks, which are fun to play with. Grab a pack of bloodshot plastic eyes and you’ll have the impression that someone is always looking over your shoulder. Fill a jar with them and use it to keep an eye on your Halloween guests this year. Pour the drink into a goblet made of Dollar Store plastic skulls and serve it in a glass of purple people eater punch.

More Dollar Store Halloween inspiration

It is possible to create a variety of frightening decorations using objects that may be obtained for a buck with a little imagination. Take a look at these examples of creative ideas for some inspiration:

  • Using footballs and fake fingernails, this Southern Girl Can replicate Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors. Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors.
