When Does Disney World Decorate for Christmas?
When it comes to the holidays at Walt Disney World, there are three questions we receive more frequently than any other: “When will the Christmas decorations be put up in the parks and resorts?” “When will the Christmas decorations be put up in the parks and resorts?” and “When will the Christmas decorations be put up in the parks and resorts?” That is the question we will address in this piece.
In case you’re interested, the second most often asked question is: “How can I acquire tickets to witness the ABC Christmas Day Parade in person at Walt Disney World?” The answer is simple: (We’re sorry, but we have some terrible news for you on that front.) “When are Christmas decorations taken down?” is the final question in the top three.
For starters, the Christmas season typically begins on the first Friday in November–in this case, on November 4, 2022–and ends on the first Friday in December.
We are hoping that, unlike the previous two years, the Christmas decorations will not be reduced back for Christmas 2022.
- Last year’s alterations were prompted by Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations, which took precedence over both Halloween and Christmas festivities.
- One thing to keep in mind if you’re looking forward to seeing Christmas decorations at Walt Disney World is that they go up much sooner than you may anticipate.
- Literally overnight, just about the time that the fall decorations are being taken down.
- This is not the case, however.
- In the first place, it used to be correct.
- First and foremost, because Walt Disney World continues to produce time-lapse movies demonstrating the metamorphosis of Main Street USA from Halloween to Christmas.
- Finally, it is down to perspective on the part of the guest.
It’s an astounding sight to witness, and one that may lead you to believe that everything happens “at once.” However, not all of the details are complete at that moment, and the other parks are not completely decked up either.
However, despite the fact that the Walt Disney World Christmas season will not officially begin until early November in 2022, it is likely that decorations will be put up before then.
This is a reasonable assumption because many Christmas decorations will be put up at the same time that Halloween decorations are taken down.
Following Magic Kingdom, guests will be able to visit Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
During the month of October, both parks have been known to put up more ‘ambiguous’ Christmas decorations than usual.
It is expected that the completed project will not be ready until closer to the formal start date of Christmas 2022, and that the lights will not be turned on until then.
It is possible that this may happen gradually, so certain things may not be available until the next week.
Epcot is the final theme park to participate in the holiday festivities, and this is due to the lucrative 2022 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, which continues until the end of the month.
It is not expected that the front of the park would receive substantial decorations this year due to the amount of development taking place there.
The resort hotels are the genuine wildcards in this scenario.
We anticipate that this trend will continue, with nearly all big hotels (including Deluxe and Moderate Resorts) having their Christmas trees, gingerbread displays, and other holiday decorations up by the middle of November.
The majority of the time, Holiday Services can complete an entire resort in a single night, with crews dispatched to numerous resorts at the same time.
Even if Holiday Services decorated two hotels in a single night, the procedure would take more than two weeks to complete because to the enormous quantity of resorts in Walt Disney World.
It fluctuates from one year to the next.
By the next weekend, you should notice even more things being installed, and the procedure should be around half-complete.
If you come back a week later, you’ll see the same number of decorations at the parks, but half of the resorts will also be decked up in holiday cheer.
If you come around Thanksgiving week or any other time in December, everything at Walt Disney World will be decorated for the holidays!

What do you think of Walt Disney World’s ‘method’ for decking the halls for the holidays? Do you have any questions? Is it too early to put up Christmas decorations on November 4, 2022? When Does Disney World Take Down Christmas Decorations?
Walt Disney World is well-known for its annual nighttime Christmas decoration session, which takes place the night after Halloween. The Halloween decorations at Magic Kingdom are taken down in record time, and the Christmas decorations are put up in an equally impressive amount of time. How long does it take for the Christmas decorations in Orlando to be taken down? The response is constant, but it is not always as quick as it could be. Disney World Christmas Guide 2021: Best Decorations, Activities, and Tips for Christmas Visits
Visits to Disney World are wonderful throughout the year, but there is something particularly magical about coming during the Disney World Christmas season. This is our favorite time of year because of the great selection of Disney World Christmas decorations, events, and entertainment available. Make use of our comprehensive 2021 Disney World Christmas guide to learn about the options available and to arrange your own memorable holiday celebration.
When Does Disney World Decorate For Christmas?
The Magic Kingdom is the first area to be transformed into a Christmas wonderland during the Disney World Christmas celebrations. When the Magic Kingdom changes from Disney After Hours Boo Bash to Disney Very Merriest After Hours, the atmosphere changes from eerie to festive in what seems like an instant. Between November 1 and the first Christmas after-hours event, expect to see Magic Kingdom decorations go up across the park. Holiday decorations begin to appear in Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom as early as November, and are generally completed by the middle of November.
- The majority of the Christmas decorations are completed at Disney World resorts by the middle of November.
- Disney Springs will host an outstanding Christmas Tree Stroll, including a plethora of magnificent Christmas trees with Disney themes.
- Disney World’s Christmas decorations are up until the New Year’s Eve, but there isn’t much more to see after that.
- It wasn’t until the next morning that all of the Christmas decorations were vanished altogether.
When Is The Best Time To Visit Disney World For Christmas?
The best time to visit for the holidays is from a few days after Thanksgiving to approximately a week before Christmas. Although the Disney World Christmas crowds are modest, everything related to the holiday season is open and functioning. In particular, the first week of December offers a wonderful combination of Christmas events, manageable crowds, and beautiful weather, making it our favorite time of year to visit Disney World. Is it impossible for you to travel between Thanksgiving and Christmas?
Where Can I Find Disney World Christmas Decorations?
The quick answer is that Disney World’s Christmas decorations may be found all over the place.
At Disney World resorts, theme parks, and Disney Springs, you’ll see Christmas trees, wreaths, flowers, and other decorations that are specifically suited to the season. Approximately 1500 Christmas trees were put up across the Disney World resort by Disney World cast members.
Magic Kingdom Christmas Decorations And Activities
The Magic Kingdom’s renowned holiday experiences are what most people think of when they think of Disney World over the holidays. Entering Main Street, United States of America and seeing a 60-foot (18-meter) Christmas tree covered with 60,000 lights and 1800 ornaments sets the tone for the beauty of a Disney World Christmas from the moment you step into Main Street. Wreaths, bows, and a variety of other festive Magic Kingdom Christmas decorations can be found inside each exhibit window and all down Main Street, United States of America.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade
There’s excellent news for Magic Kingdom visitors who want to visit between December 22, 2021 and December 31, 2021. On these specific occasions, all guests will be able to enjoy the iconic Magic Kingdom Christmas parade, which is generally only available to those who have Disney Very Merriest After Hours tickets. Check the My Disney Experience app for the most up-to-date information on parade performances.
Disney Very Merriest After Hours
The new Disney Very Merriest After Hoursevent takes place at Magic Kingdom. Disney Very Merriest After Hours is an additional paid late-night event that has less people and shorter wait times at attractions. In addition to shorter wait times, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, the first parade at Disney World since early 2020, will return this year. During Very Merriest After Hours, this procession winds its way across Magic Kingdom, showcasing famous Disney characters on holiday-themed floats.
This adorable Christmas fireworks extravaganza made its premiere in 2019, but it was put on hold in 2020.
Magic Kingdom Jingle Cruise
Jungle Cruise, a classic attraction, receives a festive makeover for the holidays, becoming Jingle Cruise instead. Holiday enhancements include a tropical-inspired Christmas “tree” in the queue as well as holiday-themed décor scattered throughout the ride. Even the Jingle Cruise jokes have been given a festive makeover, with a slew of holiday-themed puns and tales. In one instance, our skipper instructed us to wave not just to the wonderful folks, but also to that one nasty individual, as we were leaving the pier.
Hollywood Studios Christmas Decorations And Activities
Despite the fact that Magic Kingdom is the most popular Disney World Christmas park, I believe the prize should go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios instead than Magic Kingdom.
Hollywood Studios offers beautiful themed decorations in each location, as well as a wonderful walk-up holiday light projection display and a character lunch tailored to the holiday season.
Sunset Seasons Greetings
The Hollywood Studios are a collection of studios in Los Angeles, California, that are dedicated to the entertainment industry. A wonderful addition to the collection, Sunset Seasons Greetings helps to fill in some of the blanks left by the fan favorite Osborne Spectacle of Lights. The external Tower of Terror facade is transformed into a gorgeous winter wonderland at night, which is a pleasant surprise. It is possible to see Sunset Seasons greetings on a continuous loop with a 15-minute pause throughout the night, from twilight until park closing.
- For example, in a brief film broadcast on the billboard, the Swedish Chef creates a gingerbread home, and then the tower is transformed into a gigantic gingerbread house.
- The other three themes are Muppets, Frozen, and Mickey’s Christmas Carol.
- At the conclusion of each tower projection display, lasers slash through the sky, illuminating the “snow” that is falling on the street underneath the tower.
- An additional advantage of having Sunset Seasons Greetings played on a continuous loop is that the audiences come and go at their own pace.
Minnie’s Holiday Dine at Hollywood and Vine
Despite the fact that character dining will look very different in 2021, Minnie and her companions will still be dressed in their best Christmas attire for Minnie’s Holiday Dine at Hollywood and Vine. During Minnie’s Holiday Dine, Santa Goofy, Minnie, Mickey, Donald, and Daisy all move about the restaurant, spreading far holiday happiness to those who pass by them. Prepare your camera for distant shots of these adorable characters in their wonderfully suited outfits.
Santa Claus Motorcade
Santa Claus’s Motorcade, which will debut at Hollywood Studios in 2021, is a new attraction. Wiggle your toes in the direction of Santa as he cruises down Hollywood Boulevard in his bright red convertible, so he knows you’ve been nice this year. Motorcade schedules may be found on the My Disney Experience or Disney World apps.
Jingle Bell Jingle BAM!
Although it was stated that Jingle Bell Jingle BAM will return in 2021, the show had yet to begin as of mid-November. This Christmas fireworks spectacular at Hollywood Studios depicts the narrative of Lenny and Wayne, two prep and landing elves who are on a mission to track down Santa, who has gone missing during the holiday season.
There are some inconsistencies in how this presentation connects the tale to the projections, but generally, the show’s projections, music, and pyrotechnics are all rather impressive.
Hollywood Boulevard Christmas Decorations
The amazing decorations that surround Disney’s Hollywood Studios begin as soon as you step foot onto Hollywood Boulevard and continue throughout the park. Decorations such as garland and wreaths are strewn across the roadway, while sparkling stars adorn the lamp poles.
Echo Lake Christmas Decorations
My favorite decorations at Hollywood Studios are in the Echo Lake area. The nostalgic décor, as well as a Christmas playlist that includes songs from my personal collection, making it seem like home. The big Christmas tree is magnificent during the day, but it is even more impressive at night, when the dazzling lights illuminate the lake, which is filled with ornaments that float on the surface of the water.
Toy Story Land Christmas Decorations
Unfortunately, these wonderful Toy Story Land decorations were not in place by the middle of November in 2021. When I asked cast members if they expected the area to be adorned this year, they said they couldn’t say whether or not decorations would take place. I’m posting this part in the hopes that Toy Story Christmas decorations may materialize, but I’d want to caution you that they may not be available for the 2021 holiday season. Toy Story Land is decked out in festive decorations, many of which are very charming.
Each of the characters in Toy Story Land has a distinct seasonal flair to their outfits, as do their accessories.
Across the table from the Hamm sugar treat is a giant green army guy, who appears to be supporting the sugar cookie.
Woody’s lunchbox is adorned with a popcorn and cranberry garland, and even Rex is decked out in reindeer antlers atop Slinky Dog Dash.
Epcot Christmas Activities
Disney Springs and the other theme parks open their doors later for Christmas events than Epcot. In this year’s holiday season, Epcot will open its doors on November 26 and remain open through December 30, 2021.
Epcot Candlelight Processional – Returns November 26 through December 30, 2021!
After missing this lovely version of the Christmas tale in 2020, we are thrilled to learn that Epcot Candlelight Processional will be returning for the first time in 2021. The Christmas nativity tale is told by a celebrity narrator with the assistance of a large choir and a 50-piece orchestra in this production. At Walt Disney World, the Candlelight Processional at Epcot is one of the most beautiful and moving ways to commemorate the holiday season.
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays
During the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays, guests may learn about the holiday traditions of each country represented in Epcot World Showcase. In addition to costumed storytellers bringing Christmas tales to life, seasonal kitchens, as well as a cookie promenade, provide gastronomic reasons to enjoy the holidays at Epcot.
Animal Kingdom Christmas Activities
The Animal Kingdom does not want to be left out, too, and features some newer Disney World Christmas items as well as some distinctive seasonal decor. There are Christmas decorations throughout the park, but Discovery Island featured the best decorations in the Animal Kingdom, in my opinion.
Animal-shaped luminaries are attractive in the daylight, but at night, their warm glow makes these unique decorations much more stunning. The design is completed with greenery and natural touches in a way that is consistent with the Animal Kingdom theme.
Christmas Character Flotillas
Discovery River comes alive with the sounds of festive music as Disney characters dressed in their finest holiday gear float down it. It’s no secret that Disney World’s Animal Kingdom flotillas are a popular way to meet the characters, and I’m confident that the Christmas version will be just as popular.
Holiday Tree of Life Awakenings
Disney World Christmastime transforms the iconic emblem of Animal Kingdom into a dazzling display of holiday illumination. During Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations, these holiday-themed projections will alternate with the Animal Kingdom Beacons of Light projections in the park. During the holiday season, the Tree of Life Awakenings begin at dusk and continue intermittently until park closing. Check the Disney World app for the most up-to-date information on the precise start time. The Holiday Tree of Life Awakenings was a charming show that was far more successful than I had anticipated it to be.
During the Christmas season, keep an eye out for the Merry Menagerie on Discovery Island. For a festive, holiday experience, adorable, life-sized handcrafted animal puppets are brought to life and performed to the accompaniment of live music.
Where Are The Best Free Disney World Christmas Decorations?
Disneyland and Disney World theme parks are the only venues where visitors must pay a charge to view Christmas decorations. Touring the Disney World resorts and Disney Springs is a fantastic, cost-free opportunity to see the Christmas decorations at Walt Disney World.
In order to view holiday decorations, visitors must pay a charge at Disney World theme parks exclusively. A nice and free way to enjoy the Christmas decorations at Disney World is to tour the resorts and Disney Springs.
Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar
This eccentric bar and restaurant in Disney Springs, which is usually known as Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, has been given a festive makeover for the holidays. Decorations appear to be hung or resting on every conceivable surface, even the ceiling. Christmastime at the bar is made even more enjoyable by the use of riotous colors and extravagant décor.
Disney World Resorts
Normally, each Disney World resort has an extraordinary holiday makeover, but in 2021, the decorations at several famous Christmas resorts have been cut back. The lobby of Port Orleans Riverside was lavishly decorated, while other areas, such as Disney’s Beach Club, were far less so than in prior years.
Grand Floridian Resort Christmas Decorations
The Grand Floridian, on the other hand, is decked up in its customary holiday splendor. It is the most spectacular gingerbread home on Disney World Property, and it is located at the Grand Floridian. One of the most popular Christmas decorations at Walt Disney World is the massive 16-foot (5-meter) tall Grand Floridian gingerbread home, which stands at 5 meters tall. Once you walk inside the Grand Floridian, you can smell the incredible gingerbread mansion that has been created. The scent of gingerbread penetrates the air throughout the large foyer, which is spread across many levels.
One of the most distinctive aspects of the Grand Floridian’s gingerbread house is the treat store located within the magnificent and tasty structure.
Because of these two stunning displays, as well as the fact that the Grand Floridian is easily accessible via the monorail, Disney’s Grand Floridian is one of the greatest spots to see Disney World Christmas decorations.
Beach Club Resort Christmas Decorations
A functional gingerbread and chocolate carousel can be seen in the foyer of Disney’s Beach Club Resort. The horses are constructed of chocolate, and the remainder of the carousel is built primarily of gingerbread, according to the manufacturer. As the carousel turns continually, you can examine each horse in great detail.
Yacht Club Resort Christmas Decorations
The nautical-themed Christmas decorations at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort add a unique touch to the traditional holiday decor. Christmas tree decorations in the shape of boats, tons of blue-hued lights, and classic ornaments in blues and gold give the lobby Christmas tree a distinct nautical feel that complements the Yacht Club concept. A Christmas village exhibit with model trains passing through the town can be found just off to the side of the lobby entrance. It is simple to go to the Yacht and Beach Club and look at the Christmas decorations.
Final Thoughts On Disney World Christmas Decorations, Tips, And Activities
Disney World during the Christmas season is a lovely time to enjoy a range of holiday-themed attractions and experiences. It is, however, difficult to accomplish everything within a single Disney World Christmas holiday since there are simply too many possibilities to choose from. Disney World’s Christmas decorations are breathtaking, with extravagant details that become even more impressive upon closer scrutiny. Each resort and theme park has its own unique Christmas decor, which we find to be quite appealing.
It is preferable to visit after Thanksgiving but before school Christmas vacations since it offers the finest combination of various activities as well as less people in general.

When Do Disney Christmas Lights Go Up On Cinderella’s Castle?
Now, I believe that this is an essential question to answer since the answer might have an influence on your vacation even if you do not intend to travel during the Christmas season. The reason for this is that Disney World has to send in a massive crane in order to finish decorating Cinderella’s castle for Christmas. Visitors who enjoy posing for the ideal photo in front of the castle may be adversely affected by this restriction. Fortunately, with today’s photo editing software, it is relatively simple to remove the crane.
Magic Kingdom Christmas Parade Taping?
Another issue we frequently get asked is when the Magic Kingdom’s ABC Christmas parade is recorded. We have no idea. And, yeah, it astonished me as well to learn that Disney does not really tape the Christmas Morning special on the actual holiday itself. Despite the fact that it appears to be a logistical nightmare, I have to concede that it makes perfect sense. (After all, who wants a nightmare just before Christmas? Sorry, I had to do it!) Unfortunately, the parade filming has gotten more and more impossible to forecast in recent years, as has been the case in previous years.
When Does Disney Start Decorating For Christmas at Animal Kingdom?
When it comes to Christmas decorations in Disney, the Animal Kingdom park is still another one of the most popular destinations. Not only does this park have a large and dedicated fan following, but it is also the most recent Disney park to have a makeover for the Holiday season. The Animal Kingdom theme park, like Disney’s Magic Kingdom, opens for the holidays on November 6th, the same day as the Magic Kingdom.

It would be wonderful if you could visit to see these Christmas decorations if you had the opportunity.

When Does Disney Start Decorating for Christmas at EPCOT?
EPCOT is the final park to undergo the Disney World Christmas decorations overhaul scheduled for 2021. They make up for it, though, with their well-knownFestival of the Holidays and Candle Light Processional festivities. EPCOT formally begins celebrating the Christmas season in the last few days of November, with special events and parades. The primary reason for this is that Disney does not decorate until after the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival has concluded. It’s crucial to note that the Disney Christmas decorations at EPCOT will be different this year, which will be intriguing to see.
Keeping an eye on this park as the holiday season approaches will be a priority for us.
When do Disney Hotels Decorate for Christmas?
Disneyland Park’s EPCOT Center will be the final park to undergo a facelift for its Christmas displays in 2021. They make up for it, though, with their well-knownFestival of the Holidays and Candle Light Processional events. Beginning in the last few days of November, EPCOT will formally begin celebrating the Christmas season. The primary reason for this is that Disney does not decorate until the end of the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. In addition, it’s vital to mention that EPCOT’s Disney Christmas decorations will have a unique look this year.
The park will require our continued attention as the holiday season approaches.
Which Walt Disney World Hotels Have the best Christmas Decorations in 2021?
Due to the fact that each and every Disney World hotel has a distinct concept, answering this question is quite difficult. While some of them become even more spectacular over the holidays, particularly when they are illuminated with Christmas lights, others just become even more amazing. The following are some of our favorite Walt Disney World hotels to stay at over the holidays:
- Resorts such as Disney’s Grand Floridian resort, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Disney’s Beach Club & Yacht Club, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge are among the options.

When Does Disney Take Down Christmas Decorations 2021?
After all of this time, when will Disney take down its Christmas decorations in 2021? In many situations, the speed with which Disney’s Christmas decorations are put up matches the speed with which they are taken down. Decorations are normally taken down a few days after New Year’s Eve, with the exception of the lights on Cinderella’s castle, which remain up until the following day. This normally lasts until the weekend following the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, which has been scheduled to return in the spring of 2022!
Disney World Christmas Decorations FAQ
The official transition from Halloween to Christmas takes place on November 6th, and the first Disney after hours event will normally take place one or two days later, according to Disney. Does Disney Decorate for Christmas?
Is red the color of choice for Santa? For those who haven’t had the opportunity to experience the magic of the holidays at Disney World, we are pleased to inform you that there is a sleighload of Christmas decorations at the park! In fact, we believe that the Christmas season is one of the finest times of the year to visit Walt Disney World, and this is partly due to the festive decorations that are shown around the park. Disney’s Christmas decorating schedule normally runs like clockwork from year to year, so you shouldn’t have any trouble planning a vacation while the ornaments and hotel decorations are up at the theme parks and hotels.
When Does Disney Decorate for Christmas?
Christmas arrives at Walt Disney World earlier than it does at your neighborhood Target or Walmart. It’s really early in the morning. What time is it, exactly? If prior years are any indicator, you’ll be thinking “it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” around November 1st, when the holiday season officially begins. Please accept my apologies for Thanksgiving! Disney World Christmas decorations often begin to emerge at Magic Kingdom and the other theme parks the day after Halloween (and the last day of Disney’s Boo Bash or the Not-So-Scary Halloween Party), even though the official start of Christmas at Disney World is on Friday, November 12 in 2021.
- The Magic Kingdom Christmas decorations will be mainly done by November 2 and completely finished by November 8, 2021, just in time for the start of Disney Very Merriest After Hours.
- Next on the Christmas wish list should be a visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
- More than half of the decorations and all of the lights will be up and running by November 12, 2021, the official start date of the Christmas season at Walt Disney World Resort.
- Be aware that, similar to theme parks, the process of decorating for the holidays might take many weeks or months.
- As a result of the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, Epcot is the latest of the parks to be transformed into a Christmas wonderland.
- The final piece of the festive jigsaw is provided by the Christmas decorations at Disney World hotels.
Gingerbread displays are usually the first to arrive, maybe because these larger-than-life confections also include food stalls promoting the spicy delicacy that they represent (and generating some sweet, sweet profits in the process). In a nutshell:
- It is expected that some decorations will debut on November 1, 2021. Disney World’s Magic Kingdom will be fully adorned on November 8, 2021, with Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom at least substantially decked
- On November 15, 2021, certain hotels will be decked out for the holidays. On November 22, 2021, all of the hotels will be entirely decked, with Epcot just half adorned. The Disney World decorations are completed on November 26th.
How Long Do Christmas Decorations Stay Up at Walt Disney World?
Can’t make it to Disney World before the New Year’s Eve celebrations begin? “Is Disney still decorated for Christmas in January?” you may be wondering. You will be pleased to know that you may enjoy wandering through a winter wonderland until the first week of January, at the earliest. According to historical records, Christmas decorations at Walt Disney World began to fade on January 5, 2020, and were completely gone by January 12, 2020, when the Disney Marathon Weekend completed. The Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is set to take place from January 5 to January 9, 2022, in Orlando, Florida.
Disney World Christmas Decorations 2021 Guide
If you’re thinking about sugarplums and wondering, “What is Disney like during Christmas?” the answer is that it actually depends on where you choose to visit. As a result of the fact that Disney Christmas decorations are themed to the location in which they are displayed, the ambiance can differ significantly from park to park and hotel to hotel.
Magic Kingdom Christmas Decorations
Please keep in mind that the Christmas lights on Cinderella’s Castle have been canceled for 2021 owing to the fact that decorations for Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration have already been put up. During the Christmas season, a large portion of Magic Kingdom is decked up in festive attire. In addition to ornament-filled wreaths and a dazzling array of ribbons, Main Street U.S.A. is capped with the Magic Kingdom Christmas tree on one end and the Cinderella Castle Dream Lights on the other.
Pine garlands embellished with twinkling lights or baubles are strung throughout Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Liberty Square, while Tomorrowland is a modern tribute to tinsel and aluminum Christmas trees, with a futuristic twist.
Those skippers are quite resourceful!
Epcot Christmas Decorations
Due to the continuing Epcot expansion development, please keep in mind that Future World will likely get little to no Christmas decorations in 2021. Thank you. Despite the fact that Epcot is the next theme park on our list, it is really the last of the Disney World theme parks to receive a festive makeover. Throughout the park, you’ll see a variety of Epcot Christmas decorations, including festive versions of the park’s topiaries as you stroll across Future World and a giant Christmas tree overlooking World Showcase Lagoon.
There are cultural versions of Christmas decorations in several of the World Showcase pavilions, ranging from poinsettia and piata-bedecked garlands in the Mexico Pavilion to a frost-covered, pinecone-heavy display in the Canada Pavilion.
Hollywood Studios Christmas Decorations
Fans of Shiny Brite and mid-century modern style will not want to miss the DisneyHollywood StudiosChristmas decorations, which will be on display throughout the park through December 31st. The Christmas decorations at Hollywood Studios are a vision of silver and gold garlands and technicolor ornaments, with plenty of retro touches like supersized versions of vintage holiday figurines and color palettes straight out of the 1950s and 1960s. Despite the fact that Toy Story Land is open on a regular day, the atmosphere is festive because to the abundance of Christmas lights.
And, for the ultimate way to cap off your trip to Hollywood Studios, add a little character to your lunch (Disney character dining, that is) with Minnie’s Seasonal Dining, which features Minnie and her companions dressed in their best holiday attire.
Animal Kingdom Christmas Decorations
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a theme park dedicated to animals. The Animal Kingdom is a theme park dedicated to Mother Nature, so it’s no wonder that many of the decorations in the park’s Christmas display are made of natural materials or parts that appear to have been recycled. The Animal Kingdom Christmas tree, decorated with handcrafted, animal-inspired decorations, greets guests as they enter the park and sets the tone for the rest of their holiday experience. Glowing whites, soft neutrals, and handmade accents such as strings of paper luminarias with animal motifs strung around the rooftops of Discovery Island maintain the emphasis on the Tree of Life while yet feeling celebratory.
Asia is illuminated by the glow of brilliant Diwali lamps, and DinoLand USA is decked out in garish tinsel decorations in celebration of Christmas.
Disney Springs Christmas Decorations
If you’re looking to do some Christmas shopping, you’ll be hard pushed to find a more festive location than Disney Springs. Some businesses, restaurants, and other establishments are decked out in festive décor across the huge entertainment complex, which also includes a water park. It is Disney Springs that you should visit if you are in search of Disney World Christmas trees. Every year, the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll transforms this famous retail and eating center into a magical wonderland with a dozen or more unique trees styled after favorite Disney characters, films, and attractions for the annual event.

Christmas Decorations at Disney World Hotels
Similarly to how you don’t need to visit the theme parks to experience the enchantment of Disney, you don’t need a park ticket to enjoy the amazing world of Disney throughout the holiday season either. Similar like the rest of the resort, hotels in Disney World are visited at night by a group of elves wielding garlands and glue guns in order to decorate the rooms (AKA the festive folks on the Holiday Services team). However, while all of the Disney hotels, even the bargain resorts, are decked up for the holidays with festive decorations and unique themed trimmings, the greatest Disney World hotel Christmas decorations can be seen at the deluxe and a few of the moderate hotels.
- Among the Disney World hotels that have festive Christmas decorations are: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is a luxurious retreat in the heart of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

- When you combine pinecones with buffalo plaid, you get some rustic Disney World hotel Christmas decorations that are hard to miss.
- When it comes to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, it may feel a little stuffy during the summer months, but it comes alive during the holiday season.
The Christmas village and model train at this hotel, which is adorned with twinkling lights and nautical-themed ornaments and is the focal point of the holiday decorations, is the highlight of the property’s holiday decorations.
