FootArt – Jibbitz-Instructions
Okay, so I’m going to assume that you possess a pair of Crocs and are interested in learning how to attach the jibbitz charms to your shoes. You’ve arrived to the correct location! It’s a simple technique to include Jibbits into your Crocs. In one hand, hold your Crocs while in the other, hold a Jibbitz charm in the other. The rear of the Jibbitz should be aligned at a 45-degree angle to the hole where the Jibbitz will be placed. Make a hole in the Jibbitz charm and spin it around, all the while pressing down forcefully toward the Crocs.
Along with this, I insert my palm inside the Crocs to offer some resistance around the opening that the Jibbitz is being pressed into.
If you want to get rid of the Jibbitz charm, you basically have to do the same thing as above.
With my other hand, I grasp the Jibbitz that is perched on top and twist and pull it.
You can watch me take the Jibbitz charm off of my Fuzzy Crocs in the video below by scrolling down!

How to place a Crocs Charm (Jibbitz) on your Crocs
Even though I provided a quick explanation at the beginning of this page, please allow me to go into further detail and give a video for your convenience. Listed below is a video of me attaching a Jibbitz charm to my Fuzzy Crocs shoes: You may follow these steps to install Jibbitz charms on your Crocs, and they will work perfectly:
- Make a selection of the Jibbitz charms that you want to use on your Crocs. One hand should be holding your Crocs, with your fingers inside your Crocs and beneath the ideal placement hole. The Jibbitz should be held tightly in the other hand. Place Jibbitz’s black bottom in the middle of one of the holes in Crocs, with the black bottom of Jibbitz aligned with the center of the hole in Crocs. Push the black section (bottom) of your chosen Jibbitz firmly into the hole in the Crocs at a slight angle (45 degrees) to ensure a secure fit. Depending on your Crocs, you may also need to stretch them somewhat to make it simpler to place them on the holes. When the Jibbitz is properly installed, you will feel it pop. It has a definite pop to it. If it doesn’t work the first time, give it another go. Toss in a little extra pressure while maintaining enough resistance from underneath to allow the Jibbitz back to push through the Crocs hole

It’s important to note that the Jibbitz may feel a little snug at first, but by applying pressure from the bottom while simultaneously tugging the charm from the bottom, you should have no issue removing the charm.

For additional information, please see my disclosure. Hello, everyone! It’s Megan here! Now, I’m not sure why, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Crocs will be making a reappearance over the summer months. A new model that reminds me of Birkenstocks is available, and I thought they were actually rather attractive at first glance. Especially if you use the charms that they produce called “jibbitz” to fill in the gaps between the holes.
- At the very least, there weren’t many that I liked.
- There are a plethora of possibilities available for creating your own Jibbitz.
- On Amazon, I found a set of transparent ones that I liked.
- Normally, I would have attempted to build these components myself, but, to be honest, it is both cheaper and simpler to simply purchase them.
- E6000 was the product I used.
- I used the Rough and Ready Shrinky Dinks as well as the Printable Shrinky Dinks.
- I placed them in a Word Document and resized the photographs to around 3 inches in height and width.
Both sides of the Rough and Ready Shrinky Dinks are rough, and both sides are smooth.
Plans were in the works for me to outline them on the smooth side and color them on the rough side.
Posca Pens and Ohuhu Alcohol Based Markers were used in this project, although Sharpies, colored pencils, and acrylic paint could also be utilized.
I redid the flower and the butterfly, but this time I colored everything on the rough side of the plastic instead of the smooth side.
The only thing that is a little frustrating is that you have to wait for each color to dry before proceeding to the next.
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F and bake them until they have shrunk and flattened entirely.
I applied a little layer of UV Resin to each item to help seal in the paint.
With E6000 adhesive, I attached a piece of plastic to the back of each Shrinky Dink once the resin had dried and hardened.
I typed my photographs into a Word Document and made each one approximately 3 inches tall, which is the recommended size.
After baking, the ink will darken in color.
I printed everything out and proceeded in the same manner as I had previously.
Bake them at 325 degrees for a few minutes till they flatten out, then seal the top with some UV resin and glue it to the back, and you’re done!
It is somewhat more expensive than the Shrinky Dink process, but it is faster, taking only 5 seconds.
For the buttons, I used scissors to cut away the small bulge on the back and then sanded away the rest of the bump to make the back flat.
After that, I used some additional adhesive to adhere it to the back.
So, have a look at all of the jibbitz I’ve created! This was a really enjoyable project, and I’m looking forward to wearing them this summer. Finally, I’d like to produce 14 random jibbitz in each color, which would allow me to mix and match any outfit with any of the colors I’ve made so far.

Couple make $10 million on Crocs craze
Sheri Schmelzer, a Boulder housewife, and her husband, a successful entrepreneur, have the Midas touch. The Schmelzers began a basement business called Jibbitz a year ago to sell little artificial flowers, buttons, and other accessories for Crocs, the immensely popular footwear. They made a profit of $1,500 in the first month. Crocs Inc. said on Tuesday that it has agreed to purchase the family-run firm for $10 million, with the option to pay an extra $10 million if future earnings targets are achieved.
- Crocs and Jibbitz are a “wonderful match,” according to Sheri Schmelzer, the company’s marketing director.
- He referred to the “homegrown enterprise” as a market-leading organization.
- The company has grown rapidly since its inception.
- Some call them ugly; supporters swear by their comfort.
- “They have to think that this industry is quite strong,” he remarked.
- “What’s next?” Atmore asked.
- “I think they have sort of a cultish kind of following,” Corlett said.
if their shopper the kind of person who wants to decorate their Crocs?” It was a little more than a year ago when Sheri Schmelzer, 41, was playing around with ways to decorate her children’s Crocs and decided to plug the holes with “anything that I could find that was cute.” She selected items with the help of her children — Riley, 4, Julian, 6, and Lexie, 8.
Demand grew and the family moved the operation into office and warehouse space in Boulder, and it added manufacturing in China.
From February to August, the company grew from $200,000 in monthly revenue to $2 million in monthly revenue, she said.
In addition to the acquisition, Crocs has agreed to endorse Jibbitz products while Jibbitz will gain access to Crocs’ distribution and retail network. Sheri Schmelzer will remain in her job as chief design officer while Rich Schmelzer, 40, will stay on as president.
