9 | Red and white stockings

Of course, if you’re going to be putting up a Grinch tree and decorating the mantle, you’ll most likely want some matching stockings to hang over the fireplace as a complement to your decor. 13 | Table Linens

Hanging some Grinch-inspired photos for the holidays can help you to get into the Christmas mood even more. The addition of some red and white striped wrapping paper behind them helped them stand out even better. It is possible, however, to purchase low-cost prints and frame them as desired.

14 | Tea Towels

Why bother going to the dining room when you can have the Grinch in your kitchen instead? Tea towels, like table linens, may be found in Grinch-specific designs, or you can just duplicate the color palette. Here are a few of my personal favorites:

15 | Grinch kitchen mat

Making a Grinch-themed mat for the floor in front of the sink is another simple way to incorporate Grinch decorations into your house. I actually utilized one that was supposed to be used as a front entrance mat for this project.

Due of the rubber backing, it won’t slide about and it’s really easy to clean. As a result, you won’t have to be concerned about spills. Several distinct Grinch designs are available, allowing you to select the one that best suits your tastes. Here are a few alternatives:

Are you looking for some Grinch-inspired outdoor Christmas decorations? We’ve taken care of everything! These Christmas decorations, which range from Grinch-inspired wreaths and garlands to innovative light displays, are guaranteed to make your yard festive and entertaining this season. So be ready to share a little festive happiness this season! (And maybe a smidgeon of the Grinchiness, as well). What about you? Do you like Dr. Seuss’s classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, in the same way I do?

So it came as no surprise when I decided to go all out with Grinch Christmas decorations this year.

(They’ve been up since before Thanksgiving, to be exact!) I was also amazed by the large number of outdoor decorations that are offered.

1 | Green and Red Lights

It is possible that this content contains affiliate links. If you purchase the items through these links, we will receive a small compensation (at no extra cost to you). As an Amazon Associate, I receive money when people make qualifying purchases via my links. However, we only recommend things that we would personally use. For further information, please view our disclosures, which may be found here. With order to get my yard into the holiday mood, I wrapped all of my shrubs in little LED lights * in the color of the Grinch, which is green.

In this way, you may reuse the same light strings for many holidays, each with an own color scheme.

(In the event that you misplace your remote, the lights can still be controlled.) Then I installed red spot lights under the shrubs (pointing up), as well as red spot lights pointing up on the house’s exterior walls.

Similar to string lights, they change color when turned on, and I believe they are ideal for outdoor Christmas decorations for the following reasons:

  • Four lights are strung together on a single string (which means one socket will power all four lights)
  • They have lengthy wires connecting each of the lights, allowing you to spread them over the yard
  • And the color of the lights is adjusted by an app on your phone. Because of this, you can paint them pretty much whatever color you choose.

The nicest part about both of these is that they’re completely free. Because these are color changing LED lights, I put them up for Halloween in October with a blue and orange color scheme to complement the occasion.

Everything was ready for the holidays after that; all I had to do was change the color of the lights to green and red, and they were ready. This saves a significant amount of time while setting up and taking down lights.

2 | Merry Grinchmas Outdoor Sign

The nicest part about both of these is that they’re both free of charge. Given that these are color-changing LED lights, I hung them with a blue and orange color scheme for Halloween back in October. Then it was just a matter of changing the color of the lights to green and red, and they were ready for the Christmas holiday season to begin. Because of this, putting up and taking down lights is much quicker.

3 | Grinch Stealing Lights

It would be impossible to have a comprehensive collection of outside Grinch Christmas decorations without a Grinch taking the lights from the home. In my situation, I’d call it an arbor. I used a single LED flood light (this one * from Amazon) set to white to ensure that you could see him even in the darkest of places at night. (These are the same color-changing spot lights that I use for my Halloween lighting, so I didn’t have to purchase anything else.) – Note: The next time I do this, I’ll use string lights with larger bulbs to make it more visually appealing.

  • As a result, I ended up double the thread between the arbor and the Grinch to make it more secure.
  • It was on Etsy that I purchased my yard Grinch and his buddy Max (you can find themHERE *).
  • Outdoor figurines of the “Grinch snatching lights” are, on the other hand, readily available from a variety of sources (usually not with all the same features mine has).
  • Here are a few different alternatives.

4 | Candy cane path lights

While these red and white candy cane path lights * aren’t strictly Grinch décor, they do go in rather nicely with the theme nevertheless. Approximately a foot apart, I placed them on either side of my front path.

5 | Yard Art

For those who want anything other than the Grinch stealing Christmas, there are a variety of alternative Grinch-inspired outdoor decorations to choose from. Particularly on Etsy, where they appear to be of higher quality than those available elsewhere. Here are a few examples that I discovered:

6 | Outdoor Inflatables

Another option for Grinch outdoor décor is to use one of the various inflatable decorations that are now available on the market today. They require extremely minimal storage space, which is always a plus in my book! The difference is that when they’re blown up, they’re enormous enough to make a statement in your yard. Some of them stand up to 9 feet tall! There’s a good chance these are intended to be indoor/outdoor lawn figures. However, I believe you would want a larger home than mine in order to use them inside.

7 | Garden Flags

If you’re searching for outdoor decorations that are a bit more manageable in size, a garden flag can be the perfect solution. Without breaking the bank, it’s a cost-effective way to bring some Dr. Seuss flair to your yard in the form of the Grinch without going crazy.

Only thing to remember is to have an aflag stand* to hang it from. They’re also affordable, and they can be re-used to display flags for all four seasons, saving you money over time. Here are a few ideas that you might find appealing. (Click on the image to be taken to the source):

8 | Fence Peeker Grinch Christmas Decorations

The addition of a fence (or tree) peeker to your outdoor display is another adorable option to incorporate Grinch Christmas decorations into your outdoor display. A peek-a-boo decoration is one that peeks around a tree or over the top of a fence. This is a really Grinch-like approach to dress up your yard. Here are a number of alternatives to consider:

9 | DIY Grinch Garland

If you’re searching for a Grinch-themed Christmas decoration that you can make yourself, have a look at this garland that you can put over your front entrance. It’s simple to prepare and it looks fantastically festive and enjoyable. The addition of lighting makes it more visible at night. For those who prefer to utilize it indoors, it is as effective when placed over a fireplace mantel. In any case, it appears to be far more expensive than it actually is. Learn how to make a Grinch garland with this guide.

10 | DIY Grinch Wreath

This quick and easy DIY Grinch wreath is constructed from lime green feather boas and takes no more than 15 minutes to put together. Furthermore, its vibrant hues are guaranteed to create a statement on your front entrance. It makes extensive use of the same decorations as the garland above, so you won’t have to purchase many more ingredients if you’re constructing both. Learn how to build the wreath by watching the video below.

11 | Grinch Door Hangers

The following store-bought door hangers may be exactly the ticket if you don’t feel like producing anything but still want Grinch outdoor decorations to hang on your door.

12 | Grinch Door Mats

Another inexpensive method to decorate your front porch with Grinch Christmas decorations is to use door mats or outdoor rugs. You should be able to discover one that you like because they are available in a range of patterns and colors. Although the one I purchased isn’t expressly Grinch-themed, the colors are a good match for the garland and wreath I purchased. The less costly options aren’t always as thick as the more expensive options, but they still look excellent on the floor. And that may be just what you’re looking for if your door doesn’t have a lot of clearance above the ground.

Grinch Christmas Tree Decorating

If you’re thinking about getting a Grinch Christmas tree this year, here are some ideas to make decorating your Grinch tree a little less difficult:

  • Make your Grinch tree shine by using a large number of clear Christmas tree lights. Continue to use the “Grinch” color scheme of red, white, and green
  • Make use of huge “chunky” ornaments that are of the same color but have a variety of patterns and shapes
  • Make use of Deco Mesh ribbon rather of regular ribbon. Fill in the gaps with smaller decorations that give a “Whoville” vibe to them. Insert “picks” from a Christmas tree, such as this. Decorate your tree with some homemade Grinch decorations to bring everything together. Create (or purchase) a Grinch-themed Christmas tree topper. Consider choosing a WHITE fake Christmas tree, such as this one (which helps the colors stand out more)
